Anti-Camo Movement Takes Fashion Police To Next Level!

Camo is fine if you're in the military. Or if you're hunting. But shopping? Going to class? Any camo outside of the military and the woods should be outlawed.
Needless to say, this home-cooked movement intended just for pointless fun was cause for stir...
Well, at least amongst my peers in The Sanctuary for Intelligent Radical Discussion.  Don't bother looking for us -- we're like the Illuminati -- you'll never find us lest you're invited. LOL. Seriously though, it may seem trivial but this is how ideals are born.  I dare say applying aesthetically based restrictions to military uniforms and camouflage prints on civilians is pedantic and unconstitutional.

For example, look up Schacht v. United States.  All things should be considered in context of its situation. On the contrary, I understand the sentiment behind the Anti-Camo ideal.  As a military veteran I know some view it as tacky & irrelevant (especially by old stripes and military conservatives) for civilians to dress militantly without just cause (as in the exception of using camouflage for hunting purposes).  The overall sentiment is the likes of which makes a mockery of impersonating an officer cause for arrest.  Yet, who hasn't seen a scantly-clad stripper in a police-ish outfit before? Better yet, who's complaining? In fact, enlisted soldiers aren't allowed to wear their uniforms in whole or in part to make a fashion statement (e.g. sporting your BDU and boots with the undershirt tied into a halter top complete with hoop earrings and a kangol to the club). It  may be cute but also means for an Article 15 as it is in direct violation of the U.S. Military Uniform Code of Justice.  Battle Dress Uniforms (BDU) and related attire can ONLY be worn in respect to and intended by the government. Yet, it's all somewhat beside the point because civilians are not held to nor expected to freely uphold this responsibility. It doesn't particularly bother me to see any uniform being used for "civilian purposes" and as a civilian would totally where that skirt (please direct your attention to the picture in the upper-left hand corner of your screen). The "clothes don't make the man -- the man makes the clothes but I sympathize with those who find it annoying if not an outright disrespect.  Even so, the Fashion Police has joint-jurisdiction here.

This Moment

{this moment} – A Friday ritual. A photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment you want to pause, savour and remember. “This Moment” is a ritual found on Sarah-Jane's almostthere.biz; inspired by the Wee Man adopted from SouleMama.
