Diamond Planet

NASA discovers planet made of diamond; faceted in our Milky Way galaxy approximately 4,000 light years away from Earth in the constellation of Serpens.
Reuters reports:  "The new planet is far denser than any other known so far and consists largely of carbon. Because it is so dense, scientists calculate the carbon must be crystalline, so a large part of this strange world will effectively be diamond."

Notably, a similar discovery was made in 2004 after a mind blowing ten billion, trillion, trillion carat diamond [star] was found 50 light years away from Earth, within the constellation Centaurus. Astronomers dubbed the star "Lucy" after Beatles song, Lucy in the Sky of Diamonds
